THE Straits Times Index (STI) inched up 0.75 per cent to 2,563.20 on Wednesday, but the number of decliners slightly outstripped the number of advancers 220 to 215 in the broader market.
Mainboard-listed agri-business group Wilmar International was among the better performing STI constituents with an increase of 2.1 per cent or 10 Singapore cents to S$4.79, after delivering a 38.7 per cent increase in net profit from continuing operations for the half year to June 30.
CGS-CIMB analyst Ivy Ng Lee Fang is bullish about Wilmar with a target price of S$5.53, as she thinks that the market has yet to fully price in the potential listing of Wilmar's Chinese unit Yihai Kerry Arawana.
