MARKET watchers are expecting Singapore's initial public offering (IPO) market this year to perform better than last year, encouraged by decent performances of new entrants in the first half and great expectations on the impending listing of NetLink NBN Trust in the second half.
According to a Deloitte Singapore report, the local stock market saw nine IPOs in the first six months of 2017 with S$464 million in proceeds and a total market capitalisation of S$2.14 billion. This compares with seven IPOs in the first half of 2016, which raised S$1.6 billion with market capitalisation of S$2.24 billion.
