MAINBOARD-listed Sunpower Group has won a contract to build and operate an environmentally friendly steam and electricity plant in Hebei's Gaoyang Circular Economy Industrial Park.
The total investment for Phase 1 of the build-operate-own/build-operate-transfer contract is about 817 million yuan (S$178 million), which includes the 29 million yuan acquisition of China-incorporated Hebei Changrun Environmental, which owns the construction licence. Hebei Changrun is valued at about 30.21 million yuan.
