Surveyor Winston Hauw joins Genting Singapore board

GENTING Singapore named surveyor Winston Hauw Sze Shiung to its board on Friday, the mainboard-listed casino operator announced in a bourse filing.

The latest addition to the seven-member board, Mr Hauw, 66, is an independent non-executive director and sits on the audit and risk committees.

He is a senior adviser at Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) Consultancy and a professor (practice) at the National University of Singapore's School of Design and Environment.

The board said that it has considered the recommendation of the nominating committee, and is satisfied that Mr Hauw has the qualifications and experience for the role.

Mr Hauw has a direct interest in 243,000 shares and a deemed interest in 43,200 shares, which comes up to a stake of about 0.0024 per cent.

Genting shares last closed down by half a Singapore cent, or 0.68 per cent, at S$0.735 on Thursday, before the latest announcement.
