Swiber frontrunner in race for Indonesian contract
US$117.8m bid for EPCI work tied to Phase 2 of a gas project in East Java understood to be the most competitive

THE Indonesian unit of Singapore-listed Swiber Holdings is said to have emerged the frontrunner for a contract worth over US$100 million tied to Kangean Energy Indonesia's (KEI) Terang Sirasun Batur (TSB) Phase 2 gas project off Indonesia's East Java province.
BT understands that the Swiber group put in the most competitive price bid of US$117.8 million for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract tied to the planned subsea infrastructure structure of the project. Swiber led by a clear margin over the next closest bidder.
