TA Corp-led group wins deal to build workers' accommodation
A CONSORTIUM comprising TA Corporation, King Wan Corporation and SKM Development has bagged the right to develop a hotly contested site into workers' accommodation, with a bid of $113.9 million.
It was a nine-cornered fight for the Tuas South Street site. The other contenders included dormitory operators Centurion Corporation and Westlite Dormitory, structural steelworks provider TTJ Holdings, and Capital Development Pte Ltd, a private development affiliate of Eng Seng Lee Construction Co.
Developer and construction firm TA Corp will own a 62 per cent stake in the project; the other two partners will split the remaining 38 per cent equally.
