TalkMed CEO suspended for eight months
PROMINENT cancer specialist Ang Peng Tiam, who is the chief executive officer and main revenue contributor of Catalist-listed TalkMed Group, has been given an eight-month suspension by the Singapore Medical Council after a failed appeal against a misconduct conviction.
Dr Ang contributes over half of the revenue of the firm. He had originally appealed against his S$25,000 fine by the Singapore Medical Council.
TalkMed requested for a trading halt on Wednesday morning. Its shares last traded at S$0.745.
