THAI Beverage’s executive vice-president Prapakon Thongtheppairot will take over as group CFO from Oct 1, after current CFO Sithichai Chaikriangkrai steps down from the role.

Sithichai, 68, who has served for 19 years as the group’s CFO, will continue to serve as a director and senior executive vice-president at the company. This was a new role he took on in August this year, the company said in a bourse filing on Wednesday (Sep 28).

Prapakon’s new appointment will be integrated with his previous role as CFO of international business. The 51-year-old will also continue to serve as chief executive officer of the spirit product group.

Thai Beverage on Wednesday also announced the cessation of 2 senior vice-president roles - 59-year-old Jean Lebreton, as well as 64-year-old Banjong Chintanasiri, whom the company said has been assigned to different roles within the group.

Thai Beverage shares ended Wednesday down 0.8 per cent or S$0.005 at S$0.62.
