The Hour Glass' profit rises, Cortina's declines

LUXURY watch retailers The Hour Glass and Cortina Holdings both released their results on Wednesday for the third quarter of financial year 2015, with the former reporting higher profits and the latter, lower profits.
For the quarter ended Dec 31, 2014, The Hour Glass saw net profit increase 7 per cent year on year to S$14.84 million, boosted in part by higher contributions from associates. Total revenue and other income climbed 4 per cent to S$187.44 million while earnings per share for the quarter under review worked out to 2.1 Singapore cents, up from 1.96 Singapore cents.
