Tiong Seng awarded S$98.3m PUB contract for water transmission pipeline
TIONG Seng Contractors, the subsidiary of mainboard-listed construction group and property developer Tiong Seng Holdings Limited, has been awarded a S$98.3 million contract by the Public Utilities Board, for the supply and installation of a water transmission steel pipeline, said Tiong Seng Group in a news release.
The contract involves the supply and installation of 4.6 km of pipeline from AYE/Henderson Road to River Valley Road.
Construction of the pipeline will utilise the company's recently purchased tunnel boring machine. Said chief executive officer of Tiong Seng Holdings, Pek Lian Guan: "Reaping the benefits of our investments, we continue to innovate and carve a unique proposition of value-adding to our customers. This will differentiate us from industry peers as we sharpen our competitive edge and look ahead to prospect selectively for projects."
The project will start on June 17 and is expected to be completed in 2019.
