IN an effort to expand its footprint in this region, Japanese telco engineering giant NTT Facilities Inc (NTTF) is buying a controlling stake in Singapore home-grown data centre specialist Pro-Matrix.

No exact figures were released for the deal, but BT understands it is worth between US$20 million and US$30 million. The adviser to the transaction is Development Bank of Japan.
