Top Glove Q4 profit falls 36.1% on stiffer competition

INCREASING competition in the glove industry put a dent in profits for Kuala Lumpur-listed Top Glove Corporation, which has a secondary listing here, in its fourth financial quarter despite a slight expansion in revenue.
But the group has proposed to pay out a higher final dividend than it did the previous year and remains in "expansion mode", it said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Wednesday afternoon during a momentary trading halt.
