Top Glove raises dividend despite Q4 profit drop
MALAYSIAN glove maker Top Glove Corporation's fourth-quarter net profit dived 36.1 per cent to RM65.6 million (S$21.6 million) from the previous year, the group said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Wednesday afternoon.
For the three months ended Aug 31, revenue inched up 1.8 per cent to RM722.1 million from the preceding year.
Q4 earnings per share sank to 5.24 sen from 8.31 sen in the preceding year. Net asset value per share rose to RM1.46 as at Aug 31, from RM1.30 a year ago.
Final dividend per share grew to 8.5 sen from 6 sen in the year-ago period.
