Total market cap of SGX-listed companies stands at S$909.7b at end-August
SINGAPORE Exchange (SGX) reported on Wednesday that the total market capitalisation value of its 767 listed companies stood at S$909.7 billion as at end August.
In a market statistics report, SGX said that the turnover value of its securities market fell by 2 per cent month-on-month (m-o-m) and by 27 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) to S$20.6 billion in August.
This was over a period of 22 trading days, as compared to 20 in July and 19 in August 2015.
The daily average value of securities went down by 11 per cent m-o-m and 37 per cent y-o-y to S$936 million.
The market turnover value of ETFs (exchange traded funds) was S$207 million, down 25 per cent m-o-m and 33 per cent y-o-y.
In August, there was one new mainboard listing, which raised S$195.1 million, and one new Catalist listing, which raised S$5.9 million. There were 36 new bond listings, raising S$10.9 billion.
Total derivatives volume was 13.8 million, up 7 per cent m-o-m but down 19 per cent y-o-y. SGX commodities derivatives volume was 1.2 million, down 8 per cent m-o-m but up 59 per cent y-o-y.
