TRANSIT-MIXED Concrete chief executive and managing director Chua Eng Him died on Jan 30 following an undisclosed illness. He was 68.
Mr Chua had been on medical leave of absence from the company since Nov 26, when he was admitted to hospital. The company declined to disclose the nature of the illness when asked.
His duties at the company, a supplier of concrete and liquid waste management, will be covered by a senior management team supervised by the board of directors until a replacement is found, it said on Wednesday.
Mr Chua, who has led the company since 1979, held 20.1 million shares of the company. As at May 15, 2017, that represented a stake of 28.96 per cent.
