SINGAPORE'S large-cap conglomerate Keppel Corporation has seen the delivery of a US$1.1 billion rig building contract to New York-listed rig owner-operator, Transocean, now twice deferred, although the former maintained its affected business unit, Keppel Fels will be compensated by its client for the deferment.

A Keppel Corp spokesman confirmed to The Business Times that the five jack-ups being built for Transocean are rescheduled for delivery in 2020, from earlier agreed dates of 2018-2020.
