AIRBUS SE formalised plans to upgrade its A380 superjumbo with fuel-saving winglets as the European planemaker seeks to revive sales of the flagship model.
The 4.7-metre extensions, together with other wing refinements, will boost efficiency by as much as 4 per cent, Airbus said in a statement Sunday, dubbing the upgraded aircraft the "A380plus".
