SINGAPORE Airlines has picked Amsterdam to be the inaugural destination for its new Airbus A350-900 fleet, with services expected to begin by April 2016.
The airline is also expected to make a decision soon on whether to resume direct flights to the United States. It has been in talks with both plane-makers Airbus and Boeing on plans for a potential ultra-long range aircraft, which would allow the carrier to reintroduce the direct 18-hour flight to New York that it pulled the plug on in 2013.
