TO ENSURE aviation safety, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is stepping up public engagement to promote awareness among travellers of the restrictions related to carrying dangerous goods onboard.
"Dangerous goods pose a risk to the aviation industry, if it is unauthorised or unknowingly carried onboard the aircraft or mishandled, whether it is by (a) company as cargo or passengers," said Tan Kah Han, CAAS director (airworthiness and flight operations).
