Carriers brace for US$60 billion fuel shock
That's the estimated amount vessels may have to spend each year on fuel that will comply with the new emission rules

THREE years from now, merchant ships will have to reduce drastically the sulphur their engines belch into the atmosphere.
While that will do good things, such as diminish the threat of acid rain, there's a US$60 billion sting in the tail.
