CHANGI Airport is investing in startups as it explores new technologies to enhance its competitiveness, putting it among a small group of enterprising airports which are doing the same.

The Business Times understands that the first start-up that operator Changi Airport Group (CAG) has invested in is Singapore-based Xjera Labs, which emerged a winner in a technology challenge last year. The artificial intelligence and video analytics provider is developing video analytics solutions to tackle operational problems within the airport, such as detecting and predicting congestion.
