Closing the search for MH370 will not be a surprise: Inmarsat VP
Singapore
IT WOULD not be a surprise if the whereabouts of flight MH370 remain unknown, said a high-ranking executive for the company that helped narrow the search area for the missing aircraft in the southern Indian Ocean, a search that is expected to end next month.
"The idea that they are considering closing this active part of the search is no surprise to me. It is very difficult to do this in the deep ocean," said Mary McMillan, vice-president of aviation safety and operational services at satellite communications company Inmarsat, in an interview with The Business Times.
