Haite Group opens S$95.3m aviation training centre in Singapore

CHINA-BASED Haite Group has launched a S$95.3 million aviation training centre in Changi Business Park.
The facility will train pilots and aviation-related crew, and is expected to attract up to S$55 million in direct and indirect revenues yearly for the local economy over the next five years.
Speaking at the launch event on Tuesday morning, Senior Minister of State for Transport and Finance, Josephine Teo, said: "Air traffic in this region is expected to grow and we need quality pilots to fly these aircraft safely."
"The group is always on the lookout for new ways to grow our business. Singapore was a strategic move to extend our international reach," said Li Biao, chairman of the Haite Group.
The facility is equipped with Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 flight simulators.
