MALAYSIA'S MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd and Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) have awarded the joint development partner contract for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail project to the consortium comprising WSP Engineering Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Mott MacDonald Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd.
The joint development partner will provide management support and technical advice on high speed rail systems and operations. It will also help the joint project team with the preparation of documents for the tenders related to the joint aspects of the project.
The tender was called on August 22, 2016 and closed on October 17. A total of eight bids were received.
The Kuala Lumpur-Singapore high speed rail is a strategic project between Malaysia and Singapore that aims to facilitate a 90-minute travel time between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
