THE Land Transport Authority (LTA) has appointed an independent advisory panel (IAP) to assess the power supply system for MRT and LRT lines as well as develop recommendations to boost reliability and minimise incidents.
The panel - which comprises industry specialists, academia and foreign operators - will report back to the LTA on the state of the system and suggest improvements based on international best practices. In addition, the panel will make a recommendation on when the next power system upgrade should take place.
