THE Land Transport Authority is to buy operating assets on North-East MRT and Sengkang-Punggol LRT lines from SBS Transit, and will take control of them from April as part of the new rail financing framework.
The value of these assets, which include trains as well as signalling and power systems, is currently estimated to be about S$30.8 million including GST.
