DEUTSCHE Lufthansa AG's attempt to block an escalation of this week's pilot strike that pushed it to cancel more than 1,000 flights was dismissed by a Frankfurt court.
The strike can proceed and is not disproportionate, Gesine Brackert, a judge at the Frankfurt labour court, said on Tuesday. The airline has appealed the decision and the Hessian state labour court had scheduled a hearing on it for 10:30am Frankfurt time on Wednesday.
