MORE than 60 organisations with more than 160,000 employees have joined a programme that provides funding to firms for encouraging their workers to make their commute during off-peak periods or to use more sustainable modes of transport, such as cycling.
The Travel Smart Network of the Land Transport Authority (LTA) was launched last August to encourage companies to create supportive environments for flexi-travel for their employees, thereby reducing demand for peak-hour travel.
