AIRLINES are being offered a solution which leverages on a plane's existing equipment to reduce the risk of credit card fraud for in-flight purchases, which could help boost ancillary revenue.
The service, which allows real time credit card authorisations using Wi-Fi over the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (Acars), is offered by aviation electronics solutions firm Rockwell Collins in partnership with retail group DFASS.
