NEARLY 1,000 aviation leaders, media and industry stakeholders are set to gather in Cancun for the 73rd International Air Transport Association (Iata) Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit as the global airline industry cruises towards another year of relatively strong profits.
But the AGM, which kicks off on Sunday, also takes place amid heightened vigilance, with issues such as safety and security likely to be high on the agenda for the industry association.
