AS WITH everything at present, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore had to hold last week's annual International Safety@Sea event online.
It was the first time it has been held virtually but it was also the last time it could have got muddled up as being something to do with the well known London-based magazine Safety at Sea, which has just ceased publication.
It is a bit concerning when a publication aimed at promoting safety at sea is deemed unviable. Your columnist must declare an interest here as he has written the magazine's training section for some 16 years.
