Satair opens new service centre in Seletar park
[SINGAPORE] Satair and Airbus yesterday opened a new service centre in Seletar Aerospace Park to provide spare parts support and distribution to Airbus aircraft and other operators in the Asia-Pacific and parts of China.
The US$20 million Satair Airbus Singapore Centre (SASC) is the result of a merger between Satair and Airbus' former Materials and Logistics Management division. The resulting organisation, called the Satair Group, was incorporated this year and is a standalone subsidiary of Airbus.
The centre takes up 16,700 sq m and will triple the scope of parts handled and provide value-added materials management services. Tom Williams, Airbus executive vice-president programmes, said providing such services requires close working ties with clients.
