GROUNDHANDLER SATS is introducing smart glasses in its latest push to boost efficiency as it seeks to digitise its ramp-handling operations amid growing traffic.
Leveraging augmented reality, the smart glasses project information in real-time - including loading sequence for cargo and passenger baggages - when staff use them to scan visual markers such as QR codes on baggage and cargo containers. Currently, ramp handlers rely on paper instructions and walkie-talkie.
