SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) will finalise terms on a US$13.8 billion order of aircraft from US maker Boeing after the weekend, the national carrier said on Friday in response to remarks by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during an interview with CNBC.
"We can confirm that the aircraft order announced as a letter of intent earlier this year is expected to be formally signed during PM Lee's visit to Washington DC next week," SIA said in a statement. "More details will be announced after the signing of the purchase agreement with Boeing."
