SIA staff get lower bonus of 5.7 months for FY2026
Annual profit-sharing compensation based on a longstanding formula agreed with staff unions
[SINGAPORE] Singapore Airlines (SIA) is rewarding eligible employees with a profit-sharing bonus of 5.7 months for the 2026 financial year, The Business Times understands.
The amount is lower than the 7.45 months for FY2025 and the 7.94 months for FY2024.
SIA staff were rewarded with 6.65 months of bonus for FY2023.
It announced the profit-sharing bonus to staff at an event at Singapore Expo on Thursday (May 14), with cheers from them.
The annual profit-sharing compensation is based on a longstanding formula that has been agreed with staff unions.
The full-service airline had 18,233 on its payroll on average in FY2026, more than 17,912 in the year-ago period.
Staff costs rose to S$3.9 billion in FY2026, from S$3.8 billion in FY2025.
It posted a 53.6 per cent drop in earnings to S$945.5 million on absence of accounting gain for the second half of FY2026.
SIA is still recruiting in-flight staff in Singapore as well as a for myriad of roles, based on its website.
