DRIVERLESS taxi service took a major step towards full commercialisation in Singapore on Thursday, with a small-scale public trial involving invited passengers.
Even as competition heats up in the global autonomous vehicle (AV) sector, the service kicked off in a geographically limited area - within the 200 hectare boundary of one-north, and with a fleet of about only six cars.
