SMRT chief executive Desmond Kuek on Thursday distanced himself from talk that he is set to step down.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a launch event for a programme aimed at better assisting the elderly and those with special mobility needs, he said reports of an impending departure were "purely speculative".
His comments came as the results of a survey into commuter confidence in public transport were released.
