AMID flagging rental demand for taxis, SMRT is giving cabbies the flexibility to rent their taxis on an hourly basis, moving away from the usual industry practice of daily lease.
Under the SMRT Taxi Share scheme, drivers will no longer be responsible for the vehicle or need to look for relief drivers to cover the cost of the rented vehicles.
