SOME Asia-Pacific carriers may be affected by the curbs imposed by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on the travel time for jets powered by Rolls-Royce's Trent 1000 engines.
Engines from a batch known as the Trent 1000 Package C are believed to be potentially faulty, with the UK-based engine-maker having flagged the durability of the turbine blades as an issue.
