TRAVELLERS flying long-haul from Britain in private planes and the premium cabins of jetliners will foot the bill for freezing departure taxes in coach, Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond said.
The UK Treasury will increase so-called air passenger duty (APD) for business and first-class passengers by £16 (S$28.65) to £172, while lifting the fee for private journeys by £47 to £515, Mr Hammond said on Wednesday in his Autumn Budget.
