HAVING tested the waters around the Kuala Linggi Port in Malacca for over a decade, Noormustafa Kamal Yahya is "dead confident" about the future prospects of the RM12.5 billion (S$3.96 billion) integrated Kuala Linggi International Port (Klip), existing competitors or impending new ones notwithstanding.
"I can't be doing business afraid of people," Mr Noormustafa declared in an interview. "I have tested the waters for 12 years and feel it is the right time as I have built a successful business model around services, standards and safety. International companies accept me and they are a good yardstick for me as to whether I have their support or not."
