Thai Airways posts lower 2015 net loss

[BANGKOK] Thai Airways International PCL said on Monday it posted lower annual loss in 2015, mainly due to decline in operating expenses and fuel oil costs.

The flag carrier, among a number of state-controlled companies undergoing reform since the military seized power in May 2014, posted a net loss of 13 billion baht (S$512.23 million) for 2015 versus a loss of 15.6 billion baht in 2014.

Total operating revenue fell 1.2 per cent to 188.7 billion baht, while operating expenses dropped 11.2 per cent, it said in a statement.
