Tigerair to operate under Scoot brand from July 25

TIGERAIR flights will operate under the Scoot brand from July 25 once ongoing efforts to merge the two airlines under a single air operator certificate (AOC) are completed.

The flight designator code for Scoot flights will be changed from the current 'TZ' to 'TR', the code currently used for Tigerair flights, as the airline has opted to use Tigerair's AOC. All flight schedules remain unchanged.

From July 25, the Scoot website and call centre will be the sole booking platform for all flights currently operated by both Scoot and Tigerair. A new crew uniform will be introduced in a nod to the new start.

The integrated Scoot fleet will consist of Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A320-family aircraft.

Both Scoot and Tigerair are owned by Singapore Airlines.
