TOYOTA Motor Corp recorded gains in US vehicle sales in September as demand surged because of Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts, helping the car market expand for the first time this year.
Toyota posted a 15 per cent jump last month and trailed only General Motors Co in sales volume. Honda Motor Co and Nissan Motor Co also posted sales that beat expectations while Hyundai Motor group's declined.
