ASIA-PACIFIC airlines recorded the strongest growth in passenger demand among the regions in March with an 11.1 per cent increase, as holiday-related travel spilled into early March following February's Chinese New Year holidays.
Passenger demand (measured in revenue passenger kilometres) in the region pipped global demand, which expanded 7.4 per cent in March over the previous year. Global passenger demand was also stronger in March compared to February, where year-on-year growth was 6.4 per cent.
