TREK 2000 International's finance director has stepped down after less than two months on the job.
Edward Tan Kew Poh, 40, relinquished the role on July 23 to pursue other personal interests, the company said in a release to the Singapore Exchange on Monday. He took on the position on June 2.
In April this year, the auditors of Trek 2000 lodged a report with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) related to documentation deficiencies.
The thumb drive maker went on to appoint external professional firms to conduct an independent review on the inconsistencies in accounting records and certain transactions. It also previously announced that the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) was conducting an investigation into the affairs of the company. As at Sept 21, the CAD investigations were still ongoing.
