SEEING that the group's financial performance in fiscal year 2015 would be dismal, Trek 2000 International's founder Henn Tan and a few senior officers thought they found a solution - by conspiring to inflate revenue and pre-tax operating profit by about 2 per cent and 406 per cent respectively, the court heard on Wednesday.
Poo Teng Pin, a former executive director in the mainboard-listed company renowned for its revolutionary thumbdrive, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to four charges including having abetted in the conspiracy. He will be sentenced on April 14.
