Two Keppel O&M units win contracts worth $368m
Orders are for FPSO conversion, subsea construction vessel
KEPPEL Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) announced yesterday that its wholly owned subsidiaries, Keppel Shipyard and Keppel Singmarine, have secured contracts worth a total of $368 million.
Keppel Shipyard won a deal for the conversion of a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for Armada Kraken, a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia's Bumi Armada.
The new FPSO, which is scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2015, will be a harsh-environment unit that is designed for operations in the North Sea under a stringent regulatory regime.
