UBS on Wednesday named Singaporean Edmund Koh as head of UBS Wealth Management in the Asia-Pacific, a role which gives him charge over the bank's two key Asian booking centres of Singapore and Hong Kong and 11 other locations.

The 55-year-old is now head of UBS Wealth Management South-east Asia and the Asia-Pacific hub, which covers the domestic businesses of China, Taiwan and Japan. He is also a member of the UBS Global Wealth Management executive board and country head of UBS Singapore.

Mr Koh joined UBS in early 2012, after more than 20 years in the Asian financial services industry, where he built a strong track record in leading and building successful businesses.
