UOB Kay Hian advocates defensive play in first half of 2020
Broker is "overweight" on banks, gaming, healthcare, plantations and selected S-Reit sectors

THE potential of a turbulent year in 2020 has prompted analysts from UOB Kay Hian to take on a defensive stance, by allocating some 60 per cent of exposure to large-cap and 40 per cent to small-cap stocks.
This comes as the Straits Times Index (STI) paled in comparison compared to other developed markets in Asia and globally despite performing reasonably well in 2019, noted the UOB Kay Hian report.
